Group of 4, Military Medal George V, 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal named to 1903 Private H. Parris, 6th London Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps, T.F., the Regimental number on the M.M. is 538267. The award of the M.M. appeared in the London Gazette of 13 March 1918. Pte. Parris entered France on the 15 March 1915 and he was discharged on 13 June 1919.

Crimea 4 clasps. Fred. Minister, Scots Fus. Gds., D.C.M. winner.
Crimea Medal 1854-56 4 clasps “Alma, Balaclava, Inkermann, Sebastopol” named to 2474 Private F. Minister, Scots Fusilier Guards. Frederick Minister was slightly wounded in action during the Battle of Inkermann and was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal on 26 March 1856. The medal is engraved in block capitals. The D.C.M. is known to exist. The recipient was landlord of the “Recruiting Sergeant” at Horstead, Norfolk from 22 October 1887 to 1891.

Group of 8, Member of the Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) 2nd type Military, British War and Victory Medals (L.Z.8841 Ord. R.N.V.R.), General Service Medal 1918-1962 Geo. V clasp “Iraq” (C-13729 Act. Cpl. R.A.S.C.), 1939-45 Star, Africa Star, Defence Medal, 1939-45 War Medal. Hector Frederick Neat was born on 28 February 1900 at St. John’s Wood and was a “Clerk” when he enlisted into the R.N.V.R. on 4 February 1918 and was demobilised on 4 March 1919, during this period he qualified for the British War and Victory Medals (copies of “Service Papers” and medal roll included)
He must then have enlisted into the R.A.S.C., a “Medal Index Card” shows qualification for the G.S.M. “Iraq” as an Acting Corporal R.A.S.C. He was awarded the M.B.E. in the London Gazette of 3 September 1940, the “N.A.A.F.I. Monthly Orders for August 1940” shows the following:- M.B.E. Military Division. Temporary Sec. Lieut. (acting Lieut.) H. F. Neat, R.A.S.C. for devotion to duty and good work in connection with the evacuation of E.F.I. from Le Havre. The many original documents include the Warrant for the M.B.E., Commissioning Certificate, letter of request to attend an Investiture at Buckingham Palace on 3 March 1941, a newspaper cutting announcing the award and many letters of congratulation. The medals are mounted court style for display
