Group of 5, 1939-45 Star, Burma Star, Defence Medal, 1939-45 War Medal with M.I.D. oak leaf, Efficiency Medal 1930 George VI (Ind. Imp.) clasp “Territorial” only the last medal is named to 20665141 Bombardier R. W. Harding, Royal Artillery. Bdr. Harding was mentioned in Dispatches for gallant and distinguished services in Burma, this was announced in the Supplement to the London Gazette of 10 January, 1946.

General Service Medal 1918-1962 George VI clasp “Palestine 1945-48” named to 14087251 Sapper E. Aldred, Royal Engineers. Served with the 60rd Railway Construction Squadron, R.E.
603 Railway Construction Squadron, Royal Engineers, were based at Beit Nabala Camp, Palestine Jan 1947 - 1948. The C O was Major F D Goodwin. The Squadron was in the Middle East from Jan 1946 based in Egypt (Suez Canal area) spread out in detachments from Tobruk to Palestine. The whole Squadron was moved to Palestine in January 1947 where they were engaged in repairs following damage to railway lines, sidings, culverts etc., due to terrorist activity.

 WW1 Pair, Pte. D. Fraser, 5 Cameronians (Scottish Rif.), K.I.A.
Pair, British War Medal, Victory Medal named to 158 Private D. Fraser, Scottish Rifles. Duncan Fraser was born at Sandyford, Glasgow the son of Lachlan and Margaret Fraser of Thornwood Gardens, Broomhill, Glasgow and was aged 19 years when he was killed in action whilst serving as a Private in “D” Company, 5th Battalion, Cameronians (Scottish Rifles). He has no known grave and is commemorated on the “Thiepval Memorial”
The recipient’s Medal Index Card shows the British War and Victory Medals are his only entitlement.

 A.C.E. Star group 4, Sgt (A.G.) R. V. M. Daniels, R.A.F.V.R., Casualty 35 Sqdn.
Group of 4, 1939-45 Star, Air Crew Europe Star, Defence Medal, 1939-45 War Medal unnamed as issued to the Next of Kin of 962812 Sgt. (Air Gunner) R. V. M. Daniels,Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Raymond Valentine Montigue Daniels was the son of Montigue and Edith Daniels and husband of Stella Daniels of Ipswich, Suffolk, he was aged 24 years and serving as an Air Gunner in 35 Squadron when his plane (Halifax LV861) was lost on the night of15/16 February on a raid on Berlin, he is buried in “Diepenveen General Cemetery”, The Netherlands.
Sold with the Air Ministry box of issue (address label missing), the named Condolence Slip”, 9 x original photographs (2 duplicated) and photo-copied information on the raid and 35 Squadron.
